چکیده
Abstract Background The purpose of this study was to evaluate the short- and intermediate-term effects combined application instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) techniques neuromuscular exercises cervical thoracic area on improvement functionality patients with mechanical neck pain accompanying forward head posture (FHP). Methods Twenty FHP were randomized received eight treatment sessions either targeted IASTM in combination (Group A) or a classical massage same set B). vertebral angle (CVA), range motion (ROM) strength, (visual analogue scale-VAS), disability index (NDI) measured throughout period two- four-week post-treatment periods. Results contributed significantly greater CVA A: + 7,2 deg vs Group B: 1,1 deg) NDI A:-25,2 B:-5,8) than exercises. Both interventions improved ROM strength short term. Pain also both groups A VAS: − 5,97 B 3,1) intermediate term VAS:-5,5 B:-1,5). Conclusions Combining for can induce positive postural adaptations improve functional status patients. Trial registration ISRCTN, ISRCTN54231174 . Registered 19 March 2020 - Retrospectively registered.

The Relationship of Forward Head Posture and Rounded Shoulders with Neck Pain in Iranian Office Workers
Background: Office workers spend a long period of time behind a computer during working hours. The relation between the posture of sitting during work with computer and neck pain is still debatable. Even though some researchers claim a significant difference in head posture between patients with neck pain and pain-free participants, the FHP (forward head posture) has not always been associate...
متن کاملStudy of the Persistence Effect of two Exercises Controlling the Scapula and Corrective Movements on Neck Pain and Angle of Head in Males with forward Head
Introduction: The scapula movement control disorder is an important factor in the incidence of upper limb abnormalities that influences sensory-motor control. There is a dearth of research on the persistence effects of training exercises. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the persistence effects (after six months) of two exercises controlling the scapula and corrective movemen...
متن کاملComparison between the Short Term and Durability Effects of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Exercise and Instrument Assisted soft Tissue Mobilization Technique on Ankle-Dorsiflexion Range of Motion
Introduction: Reduced lower extremity range of motion and movement leads to a decrease in movement efficiency; accordingly, it is vital to maintain the range of motion to prevent damage and improve functions. The purpose of this study was to compare the short term and durability effects of Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) t...
متن کاملEffects of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization and Aquatic Exercises on the Pain, Disability, Lumbopelvic Control, and Spinal Posture of Patients With Non-specific Low Back Pain
Objectives: Using an exercise intervention to improve lumbopelvic control (LPC) can enhance the pain severity and disability of participants with non-specific low back pain (NSLBP). The present study aimed to compare dynamic neuromuscular stabilization (DNS) exercises and common aquatic exercises (AEs) in terms of improving the pain, disability, LPC, and spinal posture of patients with non-spec...
